In 2010 the Bank of Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstan Mint decided to produce a one troy ounce silver coin with the subject being the Snow Leopard (Irbis). The reverse of the coin depicts a Snow Leopard on a mountain. The obverse contains It also contains the seal of Kazakhstan. This coin has a worldwide mintage of just 4,000, but most never leave Central Asia. This coin is legal tender in Kazakhstan, with a face value of 1 Tenge.
